Direct TV does allow me to call them to have the system activated and

Darn tootin.

Direct TV says they can only use my home address to determine if I have the
right to receive network channels through my satellite....Direct TV said I
can ask the local networks to give me a waiver. Any ideas?
Yes, I have one. First I believe that this waiver is an FCC rule, not
the whim of some network bureaucrat or telephone order taker at the
satellite company. One of my co-workers, a longtime rv'er with a s.o.b.
(some other brand) 5th wheel has a dish and he gets networks if I am not
mistaken. I will check into this and get back to you.
