Jim- that's what i was thinking: keep the old stuff underneath or in a box in case someone wants it later. Our '67 Safari has a hardwood floor which is great, but doesn't match the birch cabinets/walls. I would like to stain/varnish the birch so it looks more finished but that might be considered a major change. Also, the bathroom looks like it is papered with contact paper. Would that be the way it came, or did someone do that later? I haven't seen enough interiors to know what's original for sure. It also has an 8 track tape player...i picked up a few tapes at Goodwill- you can still find them at many thrift stores.
