Hey, my aging (not old) spouse says that while she was in Winter Haven (FL) High School she visited relatives in Orlando. Her uncle had a used car business and he had what she is sure was an Airstream (aluminum exterior). This was in l937 or 1938. She remembers a rear bath similar to those in the 70's, with vanity under the rear window, a commode on the right and a "step in" shower on the left, with a "ring around" curtain. When she walked in our first (72, rear bath) Airstream she thought how similar it was to the one her uncle had on his car lot--"how elegant it was."

Is there anyone who can confirm her recollection? I should caution you she  has photographic recall, and a remarkable memory. She is offering one disclaimer: "whether it was an Airstream or not, I
wouldn't know, except that it was a shiny aluminum on the outside."

Have a go at it: any confirmation anyone?

BTW, she comes first here because this is mostly in her words!
