I've got one of those silly questions. How does one get to the seams, vents, etc. on top of the trailors? Are they sturdy enough to stand, sit, or kneel on? Climb on from the side? Any thing to be careful of? Thanks for laughing with me....and hopefully not too hard at me.I use one of two types of ladders. A step ladder if I don't want to reach all the way over to the middle of the roof and an extension ladder when I do.

With the extension ladder I always rest it against some reinforced portion of the trailer which typically is a window or door. You do have to be careful because if you just lean it any where you risk putting a dent in the aluminum.
