Hi All:

I recently sent Jim Weston some caulk we use in the boating area, and he has given a thumbs up on its use in Airstreams. It is called "Boatlife Caulk" and "Boatlife Liquid Caulk". They are both made out of non-silicone rubber compound that is easily removed. It is removable. The difference in the two is that the Liquid Caulk is flowable, and will wick into very small cracks and joints, such as
Airstream joints and window frames.

This stuff is available at most boat stores and marinas, and for certain at all West Marine stores.

Be careful that you get the polysulfide or Thiokol rubber based stuff, because BoatLife also sells silicone and polyurethane stuff too, which is NOT for airstream use.

Finally, it is not cheap, but works great, stays pliable, is removable, and comes in several colors, Black, White, mahogany and teak.
