Hi Everyone,

It's been awhile since I've checked in with the group although I manage to keep up with most of the posts. Now, I need your help again. Our renovation is progressing slowing. It seems like we take two steps forward then end up going more steps backwards. We got our new upholstery in and new carpeting cut but not tacked down. It looked great. Then the next day after a pretty gusty rain storm, we discovered major leaks. We've located the leaks coming from our vista views and our front door.

Fortunately, I've saved some of the "how tos". But, what is the best way to tackle that door?  The gasket doesn't look all that bad but the water pours in when we put the hose to it from the top. Should we remove the gasket and if so where can we get a new one?  For the vista views, we figure we need to recaulk. We still have some of the Ten-X that we thought we'd use on the inside and outside where the glass meets the aluminum. What caulk should we use between the aluminum frame
that holds the glass and the skin? And what about the seam in the aluminum frame that holds the glass. There doesn't seem to be anything holding the edges together. Should we try to find some sort of liquid solder to fuse the seams together?

Thanks for any advice from all you veterans out there. I can't image tackling any of this without the information I have already collected and knowing that there is more help out there from this group
