While I like both the looks and feel of carpeting, over the years I have removed it from all my trailers and only use throw rugs. ( Won't have it in my trucks either) Not only is it difficult to keep clean, but when a trailer is built the carpeting goes down before the interior goes in. This means there is carpeting in all the hidden areas. Sooner or later you will have a leak. You will not be aware of the wet carpet in some of these nooks and crannies and the carpet will soak up the water, keeping it from appearing where you might see it.

A few years of these wet spots and it is floor repair time and thats not fun.
