I agree as my experience has been the same. The polyurethane finish
doesn't hold up to my 2 Shepherd's nails and any dropped object with an
edge will not only scratch but dent an oak floor as well. There is also
the weight to consider. Pergo on the other hand is practically
impervious to the same treatment. The problem with Pergo is that without
any texture, it is very slippery. The dogs spin their wheels and skid
uncontrollably as the rugs fly in the air. It's like watching dogs ice
skating.
