regarding the flooring options that have been talked about lately:

our globetrotter has vinyl squares laid down by the previous owner.
we'd like to replace with some sort of hardwood flooring, but because
our Lab is quite old and his back feet slip on anything thats not
carpeting, right now we have to be satisfied with throw rugs with
rubber backing. those seem to work the best, and every morning i
shake them out and sweep up the floor. since our a/s is only 19', it
takes no time at all.
