In my humble opinion, don't do it. I have two children and a bulldog. The
hardwood floors in my home look like a bomb hit them. I have yet to see my
children wipe their feet on the door mat as they entered the trailer or my
home . It's nearly impossible keeping the sand and dirt from tearing up the
floor. If you think carpet is impossible hardwood is worse, every grain of
sand leaves a mark. it is unforgiving drop any object on the hardwood floor
and you have a mark . My Airstream has carpeting and I am going to install
the plastic carpet runners to protect the carpet from tracked in dirt. Don't
get me wrong I love the Pergo hardwood floors, but having experience with
hardwood floors and children I would not go out of the way to put in hardwood
flooring. Also if your dog is like mine his nails will scratch the hardwood.
Hardwood is very high maintenance
