Hey, Mr. Bassman, I was all prepared to go with Bruce hardwood floor (there's not much floor, so how much could it weigh?) when you mentioned Pergo again. I remember a previous discussion that degenerated into general mayhem until you stepped in with dignity and leadership, much like an Artillery Officer with an Infantry fight........ Could we see this Pergo stuff at some niffty website? Is it square or in strips?
The most beautiful floor I have seen, was hardwood in strips with a polyurathene gloss treatment. It looked like a Yacht. Standing at Attention until you reply.

Hi! Janice and Jim Hicks here. Proud owners of a 1968 Safari 22ft. It is in very good original shape. Next year, replacing the existing carpet. We are thinking of installing a hardwood floor, any thoughts?
Good move, as far as I'm concerned. The limited traffic patterns in trailers causes carpets to wear in a hurry. Add to that the grit and grim tracked in if you're camping and most carpets look worn out in no time. Have you looked into something like PERGO flooring. Goes down easier and maintains better than hardwood
and weighs less too.
That's what I plan on doing to ours when we finally get it where we can work on it.
