I have carpet too...... I think the wood floors are a good idea, but might be quite heavy. There is some new stuff out called Pergo. not sure exactly what it is, but I would look into it. I know it looks like wood... but what is it?

For all of you who, like me, have wall to wall carpet and travel with dogs or cats... I found the most amazing sponge at Petsmart. It's yellow, about $5.00 or so.... and you wipe it across the carpet and it picks up hair better than a vacuum. I have one in the house and one in the trailer. I swipe the trailer with it every day...... when I'm travelling.... amazing how much hair two dogs can leave.
