Good morning:

Check out the Jordan Research Corporation Ultima 2020. This controller is an electronic unit that is a proportional controller. It  works by having a sensing cable attached to the brake pedal, so it applies braking appropriate to the situation just like the old
hydraulic tap units.

Unlike the majority of controllers, this one does not apply pulses or  full on power when activated, only what is needed. I love it. No locked up wheels !

I believe camping world has them in the catalog. Jordan Research has a website, but for some reason I cant get to the 2020 page. Will let you know.

Doug, I posted the following on the 20th of November, didn't get one reply. I still haven't bought one
as they cost $150 and I'm trying to wheedle one for less. Since you've got one, now I'm going to
have to get it! I'm told that the trailer brakes should activate slightly before the tow vehicles. I can't
see how this is possible with hydraulic or inertia systems, the cable driven Ultima 2020 must be the
only unit able to do this, methinks. Made in USA counts for a lot too! Jon

I'm using the old hydraulic brake control, but would like to change to an electronic control. I'm sure the Tekonsha units work well but would like to consider the Jordan Research Ultima 2020 control which actuates from by means of cable on the brake pedal, rather than the inertia and stoplight system of all other electronic controls. What I like about the
Jordan unit is that it doesn't have to be level, it works even if the tow brakes fail, it's American made, and is rather innovative. Has anyone had any (even second hand) experience with the Jordan controls?

Thanks, Jon Darling.
