This works. I was also successful in opening the leading side of the front hatch (sorta ram air induction) in my travels on the Cassiar, Top-Of-The-World and Taylor highways in Alaska and Canada. I chose the front hatch because it seems to me that it's usually in the cleanest air available. After several hundred miles on such highways the difference in the amount of dirt on the inside of your AS is quite significant--andI actually travel with both air vents open. But then I have MaxxAir caps on both air vents. I wonder if because the openings of the MaxxAir caps on the vents face the rear that I achieve the same effect as noted by the person who leaves the rear vent open?
