Thanks for the replies on awnings. I was talking to a guy today who told me that the biggest drawback of the "tarp in the awning rail" solution is that when the wind comes up, they are difficult to take down quickly. I picture myself, rain-whipped and surly, struggling in the dark with a huge wet
sheet of canvas that thinks my trailer is a sail boat.

Maybe it would help if I pictured myself as glowing with exertion and laughing wildly at the fates...
