Hi Ron,
We put a simple receiver hitch with weight distributing/load levelers and sway bar on our 4wd Montero and tow the single axle 21' Land Yacht. It is great. It wasn't an expensive Henley, don't even know the brand, Isley's recommended it and we spent less than $900. We drove this set up all up and down US 1 in Cal and the major interstates between Phx and Calif. It never sways and we're pretty slow going up hill, all the 18 wheelers pass us up. The key is the sway bar which is original (I think) came with the trailer and the load levelers.

Subject: [airstream] hitches
I have been looking into hitch setups lately and foound a company on the net who seems to have a new idea. They can be found on the web at: www.locknroll.com
I have contacted them for more information and will see what they have to offer. I had a 19' 1961 globtrotter which I towed with my 1957 chev convertible that swayed the back end of the car so bad I almost lost the whole rig once. Everyone had a fix but none worked. I sold the trailer and bought a 1960 18 footer which never even felt like I had a trailer behind me. Now I have a 24 foot 1960 Landyacht which I suspect will be a swayer. The Hensley Hitch is a huge investment as is the pullrite system. Both say they won't sway. Anyone else have problems with a 24' single axle?
Ron
