I currently have an 85 Suburban 454 with 120,000 miles on it. It works great and pulls the 86 32' Execella just fine. However, since it is older it makes me kinda of nervous.
I an considering a replacement for it. What does the group recommend?
I would keep her running if it "works great"..... if the body's in good shape you could always throw another engine in for about $4,000... maybe less. A new burb is 40,000................ If you do want to replace....... I recommend either a new 'burb with the 454.......... OR wait til next year Ford is coming out with a "suburban"... not the Expedition...but a long wheelbase and I'm betting it will have the powerstroke diesel............ it'll be one mean mammajamma.
