Would appreciate some advice. I have two shallow dents (about 1˛ oblong and about 3˛ apart) in one of the lower upper front panels on my Ś56 bubble, apparently placed there by some metal piece hitting the panel. In addition there are some deep scratches (shallow gouges) within the dents. Have removed the interior panel and can get at the dents from behind. Finger pressure doesnąt move them and I am wondering what now to do. I am thinking about just using a large metal spoon so as to apply some hard pressure and trying to work out the dents. My questions is will heating up the aluminum make the metal more pliable and more prone to smoothing out. I am thinking about a hair dryer or if it is safe, maybe a delicately applied butane torch flame. I wish to get the dents out far enough so the scratches can be reached. Any other ideas as to how to work the dents?

Also any suggestions as to what materials/procedure to use to polish out the very rough scratches.

Thanks.
