Having had a SSB radio for many years and thinking at that time anyone who is a ham operator has to pass the basic morse code.---Has that changed? Try to learn the code but the dots and the dits are not easy for and gave up to stand by and communicate on single side band . It was only easy to get liscenced if you were liscensed to be a ham operator ,and there is a liscense fee with the Federal Regulators. Ours cost $75. for a five year period

Hey Hunter: If you want a really useful radio without all the trash,
Try Ham Radio... easy to get licensed, and a class bunch of people,
plus you can actually get help when needed.
