Any decent hitch will mount (likely be bolted) to the bottom of your frame rails, not to your rear bumper. Even though they occasionally have a little hole in them for a hitch ball, bumpers are really not made for towing anything weighing 2,250 pounds. Get a receiver hitch with a 2 inch square opening, have it mounted to your truck frame, put a 2 inch squre receiver in it, mount the ball onto the receiver, and tow that way. Don't mount the ball on your bumper. IMHO.
