Evening Folks,

I'm a little late to the discussion, but perhaps I can offer some insight. According to the factory list the dry tongue weight for the 67 is 300 lb.. Add propane at 20 lb. per small bottle and water in the front tank and it will add up, between 350-450 lb.. The book lists the ball height for that year Caravel as 20 1/2". The big plus to a equalizer hitch is the load spreading that keeps everything on the level. High in front makes the steering squirrely and more subject to sway. Food for thought.
