THANK YOU all for your advice/assistance in my brake endeavor. As was a general consensus of what I needed, I have updated my 63' to electric brakes from the old 'stromberg' hydraulic system.

If there is any interest I will be glad to do a brief write up for Tom Pattersons' page or any others who would like the info for archiving or whatnot, although it appears that all but a few streams have already been updated.

Also, if anyone would like my old (complete) system for parts or an original restoration, just let me know or they are going to retire completely (I have no place to keep parts that I will no longer need).

BTW, the brake update I just performed has not difficult if your handy with tools, nothing special required, and the parts cost $45 for each 'loaded backing plate' and $50 for a new hub assembly complete with bearing, lugnuts and the center nut cap. For another $85 I purchased an outstanding brake control and circuit breaker, all the wire I needed, new plug and socket (for stream to tow vehicle hookup), a bracket for said socket, and a new chrome ball :^).

Thanks again,
