Thanks much, Byron, for that complete and thoughtful reply. Gives me something to think about. My short range problem is accessing regular email from my A/S without a land based telephone line. I recently got the AT&T One Rate deal with a Nokia phone. I am waiting for the cable that will interface with my notebook computer. Assuming it works, the only problem will be the expense and that could get out of hand.
