Well, sorry about that last post. I thought that "Steve" was the other Steve, not you, so you are in St. Paul and you do need to get wnterized.

Yep, just like my get up and go which got up and went, so has my memory--gone! Anyhow, you should pour a little antifreeze in each drain to protect your P-trap--although when you blew it through the lines and it drained into the P-traps, that should protect them unless it got washed out.

As for the water heater: drain it by removing the bottom plug. Replace the plug and pour some in by removing the pressure release valve at the top of the tank. There will be some water left in the tank after it has been drained which is the reason for pouring some -- not much -- in. However, after reading your letter again, I gather that your direct line from the galley hot water faucet took care of the water heater tank.

One thing for sure: you have an abundance of antifreeze in the system!!! I can't see where you could possibly have any trouble when you flush it out next spring.

If we ever manage to get back to Mayo, we are going to look you up. That's a threat, not a warning!!!
