Airsrteam junk parts. Walt Thomas 513.843.3613. One or two roads north of Jackson Center, OH. Been some years since I was there. He use to buy all of Airstreams old parts and salvage trailers. Hope the information is still good. All it will cost is a phone call.

Anyway, if there is anyone left out there who wants to tell me how old they and their trailer are, I'd love to know, and several others are quite interested on this list too, then I can get a rough average and let you all know. Thanks for all of the friendly responses so far.

Well, I will be 56 next month; Sandy will be 53 the month after that. At an Airstream company sponsored rally about 3 years ago, someone said the average age of Airstream owners was 74. If that is true, then this list is mostly composed of a younger set of Airstreamers--who also enjoys computers. This definitely makes ME feel younger? B^)
We bought our first Airstream about 6 years ago--a 1974 27' Overlander rear bath side double. Two years ago we sold the '74 and bought an '85 25' Sovereign side bath rear double. The Sovereign has a much nicer floor plan and solid oak trim. Both are great trailers, but the newer one is heavier, even though it's a foot and a half shorter! We love the large tanks (50 gal. fresh, 30 gal. black & 35 gal. gray).
Does anyone know of any Airstream salvage yards? I've heard of one in Ohio that's not very far from the Airstream factory, but I could not find it. Since most of us on this list seem to own older trailers, it would be very useful to have a list of sources for new and used parts.
