Welcome aboard, Paul and Charlene. Re: the fridge--when you say the gas flame lights uip ok, do you mean the pilot light (only) or does it go on over to the burner (heater). If the burner comes on, then let me suggest that the flue ("smoke stack") above the burner may be stopped up. Refer to your owners manual for instructions on cleaning it--in essense, with the burner off, or course, cover it to keep crud from falling into the burner and pilot light assembly, and with a long, slender brush (like a bottle brush) clean out the flue. It helps to tap it (not too hard) hard enough to knock soot and any semi-loose stuff out of it before you use the brush. Hint: if the "bottle brush" (whatever you use) is too
short fasten it to a wire coat hookl. Do Not Force the brush up the stack: there are baffles along the length of it.

I hope someone else gives you more help than this, but at least this will give you a starting point.
