Two things you can do. Stuff steel wool in every possible access hole...........
Put Bounce fabric softener sheets on the floor.... my mechanic says they keep the meeces out of his motorhome.
Some people also use moth balls.

It appears not to be common knowledge that steel wool is actually
flammable. Us Xmilitary will recall having to store the stuff in flame resistant containers. A safer alternative would be the spray-in expanding foam typically available at hardware and automotive stores.
