I'm sure there are those who've added florescent light fixtures around their AS's and then been apalled by the number and intensity of the harmonics the little power supply generates. These things can QRM an AM radio sitting outside the trailer!

I have "put up with" this nonsense in my SS for as long as I intend to do so without some kind of a struggle. Hamming in the trailer with one of these things going can be anywhere from clear-as-a-bell to impossible--if one of the harmonics happens to roost somewhere around your frequency. They're decidedly unstable (the oscillators are unstable--as why would they be made stable?) and they will sweep back and fourth across the frequency.

So. My question is: Has anyone tried anything to shut one of these things up--other, of course, than shutting it off?

Awaiting your answer(s) expectantly,

Clark
