Darrell,

ALUMINUM RUST!!???? - NEVER heard of an Aviation person saying, "Aluminum rusts"!
RUST --> The reddish or yellow coating formed on iron and steel by exposure to air and moisture, consisting of ferric hydroxide.
So this being the case - you must know someone who flys steel airplanes! ....eh?

For your information: WHEN Airlines and Aircraft Manufactures paint, they do so with POLYURETHANE pain. A FLEXIBLE product.
Also, FYI - we use POLYMER sealer - (Aviation Grade) - 90% PURE with 5% Cleaner, 5% drying agent. Also, a FLEXIBLE product, that is easily applied by hand. If you can clean a window, you can use Polymer Sealer.

This would also be a EXCELLENT product to use to PROTECT the: PLASTIC Clearcoats.
