I'm just putting the finishing touches on a pole barn shelter for two trailers...21ft. wide by 24 ft. long by about 14 ft. tall in the center of the roof peak...There is a 2X6" header crossing at about 11 ft. high....No side walls...Just a roof mounted on 8 6"X6" round "utility" poles sunk 2 ft. deep with a bag of "Sac-Crete" dumped in the holes and watered down......No center support....The total width of the two trailers that will be housed is 15 ft, so with an inside pole to pole space of 21ft, it gives each trailer a foot of clearance on the outside, with 4 feet in the center for a trailer door swing clearance...I've been in this same log cabin on the Wichita River for twenty years now, and the "trailer cabin" looks like it belongs....I matched the roof shingles to the ones on the house........Here in north central Texas it was fear of hail storms that motivated me to spend ?????? on this little project....Haven't totaled it yet, but guessing about $1,500.....I'll try to get some pics in a few days to email (shrunk small) to anyone who wants to see.....
