Do not chalk with silicone. Use either Alcoa Gutter Seal or Tenex.
Should be available at an a/s dealer or check other RV stores. If you
use Tenex apply to seam sparingly and let it seep into the crack.
Apply additional coats as necessary. Do not try to smooth out, which
gets a think flim on panesl as my experience is this will in time turn a
yellow color. Tenex is available in clear, aluminum, and white and comes
in a small tube of about 8 oz.
